Wine tourism (oenotourism) involves discovering the wine-growing and wine producing regions whilst travelling for pleasure. It is a professional approach to combining wine and tourist travel as a way to discover the value and cultural context of the vineyards, the wineries, and those who work the land.
At La Coquillade we offer tourist packages that combine wine tourism with fine gastronomy, inviting you into the discovery of our vineyard and our wines.
You will visit our winery, explore our vineyard trails, and experience our wine tasting cellar. In the very heart of a wine tourist venture that is unique to the region, La Domaine de la Coquillade, as a luxury hotel, invites you to share in its love of Provence and of the Luberon.
On a vineyard spread over more than 70 acres (30 hectares) of our domain, 55 acres (22 hectares) are given over to vines producing the AOC Ventoux label, and the remaining 20 acres (8 hectares) to producing the AOC Luberon label. The plantations, with their south-easterly aspect and soils consisting of limestone-clay, have been thoughtfully reworked, with 20 acres judiciously replanted with new vines for a streamlined and effective ecological production, with all due respect to our wines and the land. |
