Since the 13th century, generations have been producing fine wines at La Domaine de la Coquillade across from the Luberon on the Monts de Vaucluse hills. This location has long been a crossroads for migratory birds, including the much-praised Alouette, (of “Alouette, gentille Alouette, Alouette, je te plumerai” fame) or crested skylark known as Couquihado in the local Provençal tongue, and which gave its name to our hotel, La Coquillade.
Discover the special charm of Provence in our distinguished hotel, located in the centre of today’s wine-producing region, so unique to Provence. Our six residencies, the most ancient dating back to the 11th century, have been completely restored into sumptuously-decorated rooms and suites, with superb furnishings and fittings.
You will be truly spellbound in this contemporary ambiance, and enchanted by its flavors and fragrances, in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. |
