In today’s world, what would a luxury hotel in such a privileged setting in Provence be worth if that hotel were not conscious of an obligation to preserve the surrounding environment?
At La Domaine de la Coquillade, this conviction translates thus: geothermic heating is the principal energy of our hotel, as well as natural gas, solar energy, and electricity.
This choice, a first in Provence, is in keeping with global architectural and ecological concepts, and results from a personal commitment on the part of the hotel management.
Water for the garden is recycled. The filtering refinement plant for our wine cellars has been reconstructed underground into two tiers. Our water sources are drained and reutilized. Our car-wash facilities use naturally-recycled water. Irrigation of the woodland undergrowth and upgraded paths, to protect from fire risk, have been architecturally designed in perfect harmony with the location, all resulting in optimal energy for our hotel, thereby respecting both the environment and your wellbeing.
